Labuan, 16 January 2020: Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato' Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Haji Abbas and Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Dato’ Seri Utama Hajah Majimor Bt. Shariff arrived in Labuan yesterday for a two-day visit.

Labuan FSA is greatly honored to receive the visit by the Head of State of Penang. TYT Tun and Toh Puan were met on arrival by YB Datuk Rozman Bin Hj Isli, Member of Parliament, Labuan and Mr. Danial Mah Abdullah, Director General of Labuan FSA.

During the two-day visit, TYT Tun visited the Labuan International School (LIS) and officiated the opening of the Art Gallery of the school. He also witnessed the MoU signing ceremony between LIS and Fullrich Malaysia, aimed to introduce e-wallet solutions in the school as part of the digital drive of Labuan Island. TYT Tun also visited Labuan FSA office for a briefing on the latest developments of the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC).

Encik Danial Mah said, the visit will certainly pave the way for further strengthening of economic relationship between Labuan and Penang, not only from the tapping of the advantages of Labuan IBFC but also in other businesses that the Island can offer. According to Danial, there are many Penang companies that have benefitted from using Labuan IBFC. With the many positive synergies, the future is exciting with more collaborations that will bring mutual benefits to the Pearl of the Orient and the Pearl of Borneo, he added.
