Kindly be advised that effective from 11 June 2013, Labuan FSA has revoked the trust company licence of EC Trust (Labuan) Bhd pursuant to section 167 of the Labuan Financial Services and Securities Act 2010 (LFSSA).

Further to the revocation, Labuan FSA has duly appointed Mr. Ooi Woon Chee of Messrs. KPMG Transaction & Restructuring Sdn. Bhd. (“the Appointee”) as the person, on behalf of Labuan FSA, to assume control of the affairs of EC Trust (Labuan) Bhd. The appointment is made pursuant to section 193(1)(C) of the LFSSA. Mr. Peter Kent Searle has also been disqualified as Director and Trust Officer of EC Trust (Labuan) Bhd. In addition, the approval granted to Mr. Peter Kent Searle as Trust Officer of EC Trust (Labuan) Bhd has been revoked with effect from 11 June 2013.

Labuan FSA wishes to advise all Labuan companies/entities (or its beneficial owners) under the management of EC Trust (Labuan) Bhd to contact the Appointee immediately.
